This umbrella doesn't have hand painting or embellishments. It is the umbrella & feather or fringe trim. The medium umbrellas are SMALLER than a standard rain umbrella, but are the most popular size. They are parasol sized. The fringe may "appear" smaller, since it does not have the fluff of the feathers. If you want a substantial looking umbrella with fringe, I usually recommend getting the fringe in the large. Some people think the medium looks small out of the box, but are perfect when used for dancing. The main photo shows the medium size. The medium umbrella has 6 panels. Each spoke is 14 inches from top to tip and 19 inches from the top to the hook handle and 25 inches across the open bottom. The large is about 24 inches long and 35 inches across the open bottom. The size comparison photo is the medium in front of the large.
